Your onboarding answers (rank, role, main hero, hero pool, goal, biggest problem) drive a personalized dashboard with a daily focus and three concrete objectives for your next games, plus coaching and counter advice calibrated to your rank.

You confirm the hero you played and other context, then upload a clip. RankUp extracts still frames from the video with their exact timestamps and sends them, plus RankUp's hero and matchup knowledge for that hero, to the AI. You get an overall score, rank-up priorities, a mistake timeline you can jump through against your video, and a three-game challenge.

Go to Match Analyzer, choose the hero you played in that clip, then drag and drop the file or select it. Upload progress, file size and clip length are shown, and the page never reloads while it works.

Match Analyzer includes step-by-step recording instructions for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. On PC you can use the in-game highlight recorder or any capture tool; on console you can use the built-in share/capture button. 1080p at 60fps with game audio gives the best results, but a webcam and microphone are not needed.

RankUp runs in the browser on desktop and mobile, and accepts recordings from any platform — PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It does not install anything, does not connect to your game client and does not read your Blizzard account.

MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV and M4V (H.264/VP9 recommended).

Up to 30 minutes per clip while Match Analyzer is in testing. Longer clips are rejected with a message before anything is uploaded.

It is useful but not perfect. The AI reviews snapshots of your clip rather than continuous footage, so some context is missing, and each analysis includes a confidence note where something could not be judged reliably. Treat it as a coach's opinion, not fact.

It highlights likely decision mistakes — positioning, ability and ultimate usage, target selection, engagements, retreats and avoidable deaths — each with a severity and a timestamp taken from a real analysed frame. Invented timestamps are discarded.

Yes. Match History lets you log games manually and shows total games, wins, losses, win rate and recent form over your last 5, 10 and 25 games.

Yes. Each match and each analysis records its own hero, so per-hero performance and improvement trends are separate.

Yes — you set your main hero and hero pool during onboarding, and they shape your dashboard focus, coaching answers, news impact notes and hero page ordering. You can change them any time from your Profile page.

No. The hero you select for the uploaded clip is the only hero the analysis coaches you on. Your profile main hero is never used as a substitute or default, and coaching that refers to another hero's abilities as if they were yours is filtered out before the analysis is saved.

You choose the hero you play and the enemy hero causing problems. Counter Watch then shows how hard the matchup is, why it's hard, what to do, what to avoid, the ability interactions that decide it, positioning advice, when to engage or disengage, when swapping is the right call, and a short game plan. It uses RankUp's written matchup knowledge — it does not show win-rate statistics, because RankUp has no live statistics feed.

AI Coach usage is metered in credits, with 10 AI Credits / month on the free plan that reset automatically. Match Analyzer is a separate allowance of 5 Match Analyzer uses / month, so reviewing a clip never touches your AI credits. Nothing is deducted unless the request finishes successfully, so failed requests never cost you anything.

Coach requests are blocked with a clear message until your monthly allowance resets. Every other part of RankUp keeps working.

RankUp Pro is the paid tier: a larger monthly AI coaching allowance, longer and more detailed coaching answers with drills, extended match history and fuller improvement tracking. The free tier keeps working without it — guides, hero pages, Counter Watch, news, match logging and Match Analyzer are all available without Pro.

RankUp Pro is £4.99 per month, billed through Stripe. Card details are entered in Stripe's own checkout and are never stored by RankUp. You can cancel at any time from the RankUp Pro page, which opens the Stripe billing portal; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

No. RankUp is a fan-made project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment. Game names and assets belong to their owners.

Your profile, matches, analyses and uploaded videos are private to your account and protected by per-user access rules. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

Yes. You can delete individual matches and analyses (deleting an analysis also removes its stored video), and you can request full account deletion via the contact address in the Privacy Policy.
